Booking Policy

How reservations, payments, cancellations and changes work when you book a journey with Sri Belford.

Reservations & Deposits

To confirm your booking we require a 25% deposit of the total trip cost. Your reservation, including hotels, transport and guided experiences, is only secured once this deposit has been received and you have received written confirmation from our team.

Payment Schedule

The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your travel date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

  • Bank transfer, major credit and debit cards, and secure online payment links are accepted.
  • Prices may be quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) or US Dollars (USD); card payments are settled in LKR at the prevailing rate.
  • A payment reminder is sent 7 days before the balance due date.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds are calculated from the date we receive your notice, according to the schedule below. Certain third-party costs (such as domestic flights or special permits) may be non-refundable.

Amendments & Changes

We understand plans evolve. Date changes, upgrades and itinerary adjustments requested more than 30 days before travel are accommodated wherever possible, subject to availability and any difference in cost. A small administration fee may apply to changes made closer to departure.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveller. Your policy should cover trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation and personal belongings for the full duration of your stay in Sri Lanka.

Force Majeure

Sri Belford is not liable for changes, delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including extreme weather, natural events, political disruption or public health measures. In such cases we will always work with you to reschedule or offer the best possible alternative.
