Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your Sri Lanka journey — from visas and best seasons to payments, customisation and cancellations.
Sri Lanka has two monsoon seasons, so somewhere is always in season. The southwest coast, hill country and cultural triangle are best from December to April, while the east coast (Trincomalee, Arugam Bay) shines from May to September. We tailor the routing to the time of year you travel.
Most visitors need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before arrival, which you apply for online in a few minutes. It's valid for a 30-day stay and extendable in Colombo. We send you a step-by-step guide once your trip is confirmed, and our team is on hand if you have questions.
Almost every journey we craft is private — just you, your travelling companions and your own guide and driver. This gives you complete flexibility over pace and stops. We occasionally arrange small-group departures for solo travellers who prefer company; just let us know your preference.
A typical package includes handpicked accommodation, private air-conditioned transport with an experienced chauffeur-guide, daily breakfast, entrance fees to the sites on your itinerary and 24/7 in-country support. International flights, visas, lunches and dinners are usually excluded so you can keep your days flexible — we always confirm exactly what is covered before you book.
Yes — every itinerary is a starting point, not a fixed menu. Tell us how long you have, what you love and your budget, and our travel designers will shape a journey entirely around you, from the route and hotels to the experiences along the way.
Absolutely. We plan family journeys with shorter driving days, kid-friendly stays and hands-on experiences like cooking classes, wildlife safaris and gentle nature walks. Child seats, connecting rooms and flexible meal times can all be arranged.
We accept bank transfers, major credit and debit cards and secure online payment links. Prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) or US Dollars (USD); card payments are settled in LKR at the prevailing rate. A 25% deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 30 days before travel.
Cancellations made in writing more than 60 days before travel receive a 90% refund, 30–59 days a 50% refund, and 15–29 days a 25% refund. Within 15 days no refund is available. Some third-party costs may be non-refundable — see our Booking Policy for the full details.
